DTU Wind Energy at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) has a vacancy in the "Loads and Control Section” at DTU Risø Campus.
Your work will mainly be on the application of our aeroelastic design tool HAWC2 in research projects, including industrial consultancy from small commercial projects to more strategic collaborations. Furthermore, focus will be on supporting activities, e.g. software tool development, load simulations and analysis of measurements.
You will participate in a number of national and international research projects within the field of loads and control, and contribute to the management and generation of new projects. There are also good opportunities for developing innovative ideas in the direction of commercializing research.
The research aims at creating new valuable knowledge within the loads and control area and implementation this in the industry in both short and long term. Much of our activities is performed in collaboration with the industry, as well as other Danish and foreign research institutions.
We expect that you hold a M.Sc. within mechanical engineering, preferable with knowledge within wind turbine loads and dynamics as well as programming experience. It is important that you are open minded, responsible, ready to engage in a team and have good communication skills.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.
Workplace and period of employment
- The post of development engineer is a permanent position
- The daily workplace is DTU Risø Campus, Roskilde, Denmark
- National and international travelling must be expected.
